Advancing PoQus Third Consortium Meeting in Dresden
On 29 January 2026, the PoQus Consortium gathered for its third in‑person meeting, hosted at the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Dresden. This meeting followed the project’s review with the EU committee in December 2025 and focused on addressing the committee’s feedback as the project moves into its next phase.Â
Throughout the day, each partner presented updates on their respective work packages, covering progress in system engineering, exploitation, and certification, as well as the technical and practical challenges encountered along the way. These discussions highlighted the strong interdisciplinary collaboration driving PoQus forward.Â
As PoQus aims to transform image‑guided surgery through the integration of fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) and advanced quantum‑enhanced detection, the consortium also explored the long‑term impact of the technology. Partners outlined a 10‑year vision in which patients continue to benefit from FLIM‑enabled surgical guidance well beyond the project’s completion.Â
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to refining the system, strengthening clinical relevance, and ensuring that PoQus technology can make a lasting contribution to surgical oncology.
